Flowforms fly better.
Flowforms have deeper cells and pressure-relieving vents. Easy to inflate and launch in light winds, they’ll fly in stronger winds than other foils. Almost indestructible, they’re made of ripstop nylon reinforced with parachute tape. All sizes have four cells and include a nylon case and a free drogue tail. 6 to 30 mph winds. 3´-8˝ x 4´-8.˝ 10˝ x 14˝ case. Use 150-lb. Dacron line. Assorted colors.
Our braided Dacron line is made for kiteflying!
Braided line handles better and lasts longer than twisted line. Especially made for kite flying, Ashaway's braided Dacron Kite Line has an unusually tight, fine braid for the least possible tangling and kinking. The longer you use it, the more you'll appreciate its smooth and trouble-free handling. It's the best line there is. Before using your line, be sure to transfer it to a flying reel.
Our favorite line setup
We offer lots of choices for winders and line to accommodate everyone's conditions and preferences. But if you're looking for a recommendation, most of us at Into The Wind use Hoop Spools. They wind line in quickly and let us pay attention to our kites instead of the winders. We also find Ashaway's tangle-resistant line indispensable in Colorado's beautiful, but weedy, flying fields. Assorted colors. Holds 1000' 150-lb. line. 19" take in per turn.
Maximum stability, minimal weight
This 15-ft. tail is great for kites that need lots of drag. Made of lightweight nylon, it uses the wind, not weight, to stabilize kites.
