I finally got my Mirage XL. I could not wait to fly it. I live here in Hawaii and usually fly at Sandy Beach. WOW! What a kite: I've stacked 2 "Hawaiians" back late in the 80's and used it as a power kite back then before they really had power kites. But this Mirage XL is awesome!! The wind was beteween 15 and 20 MPH and just pulled my "okole" right off from the start. I had to trim the bridle down 2 notches from getting pulled all over the field when I hit the power zone. It was so strong that for the first time since I've been flying stunt kites, I had to avoid the power zone or get dragged down the field, pass the parking lot, and into the water. THIS IS IS ONE POWER KITE!! For you power flyers, you have to get one. It pulls like horse. It's like comparing a moped with a Harley!! I told my wife I need a body harness and tie myself down to fly this kite. Where can I get one? Does anyone know where to get one? |
